Growing up, Ray ‘Speedy’ Walker has always been a natural leader in life and sports. Focusing on basketball, he worked hard to become the captain for George Washington Carver High School and led his team to the state semifinals in March 2019 finishing 26-9. That April, he was in a car accident in which he tragically lost his mother and aunt, and injuring his spinal cord left him with just a 30% chance to walk within a year.
