Kolkata, July 6 (UNI) West Bengal today fondly remembered Dr Syama Prasad Mookherjee, the founder of erstwhile Bharatiya Jana Sangh and India''s first commerce minister, on his birth anniversary.

Kolkata, June 30 (UNI) West Bengal chief secretary Manoj Panth, who was to retire from his post, was given another six months extension with effect from today, a government notification said.
