One worker died and two suffered severe burns after a power pole struck a live line during routine installation.

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office is investigating the Tuesday morning incident at the Pinellas County Solid Waste Disposal Complex.

Strong thunderstorms moved into Pinellas County Wednesday evening, bringing heavy rain, hail, frequent lightning strikes and a tornado. There were no injuries reported.
