SAN FRANCISCO – Bryce Eldridge, the Giants’ 20-year-old power-hitting top prospect, could reach the major league team before the end of the season. During an interview Thursday on KNBR (680 AM), Buster Posey, the Giants’ president of baseball operations, raved about Eldridge’s recent form at the plate.

There is a star in the making over at Sutter Health Park, and he can't even have a legal drink of alcohol. Bryce Eldridge continues to show why he is the Giants' top prospect while learning to play a new position at first base.

Bryce Eldridge is ready. The No. 1 prospect in the San Francisco Giants' organization is slugging at Triple-A. It's not clear when a call-up might be coming, but when the phone rings, Eldridge will be good to go. The big lefty has crushed four home runs in his last three games for the Sacramento River Cats.
