Academic medical centers are reducing staff and scaling back operations in response to federal cuts to Medicaid.

Some of the affected employees will be offered different roles within Adventist Health or with its vendor partners, according to the system.

The nonprofit health system's Clinical Innovation Institute will focus on research, digital health and electronic health records.

"There are thousands and thousands of PACE eligibles who I would posit are largely falling through the cracks," said myPlace Health CEO Robbie Pottharst.
