During the much-anticipated Roblox's annual Developer Conference, a groundbreaking revelation took center stage: the beloved platform is set to debut on PlayStation 4 and PS5.

Roblox also announced Connect, a system that will allow people to call people in the game using their real names, body language and facial expressions.

Part of Roblox’s appeal is the ability to access it on several platforms, but the game has long been unavailable on the Playstation 4 and Playstation 5. It looks like this may be changing soon.

In fact, Roblox refers to players as developers. These developers, who are often children, are able to create games and even potentially make in-game currency from other players, known as Robux.

UPDATE 14/9 10.20pm: Roblox will be available to play on PS4 on 10th October, Sony has just announced. A release date for the game on PS5 has not yet been specified.
