It lets you open multiple instances of File Explorer within the same window, where you can open different folders, similar to how browser tabs work. It’s one of my favorite Windows 11 features.

You can make Windows File Explorer open to This PC, instead of Quick Access in Windows 11/10, using GPO< File Explorer Options or REGEDIT.

To do this, open File Explorer and go to View > Options. Next to Open File Explorer to:, choose This PC instead of Quick access and click OK to close the window and apply your changes.
