Now that Microsoft has finally released an ISO file for the Windows 11 Insiders Preview, you can download and store it so it’s readily accessible. Here’s how.

Microsoft has officially released Windows 11 and ISO images that allow you to create bootable media to perform clean installs of the operating system and troubleshoot bugs and problems.

In this guide, I'll show you the steps to get the Windows 11 ISO file using the Media Creation Tool, and directly from the Microsoft servers.

From the New Virtual Machine Wizard, click the Installer disc image file (iso) option, then browse to and select your downloaded Windows 11 ISO file. Click Next.
