Excel cells will hold your text as you enter them, however, if the text is long, it can run into other cells. You will need to make the Excel cells fit the text.

To create diagonal text boxes, add a text box and then convert it into an image that can be rotated to any angle. This procedure is supported by and is the same for Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
