New York Jets quarterback Justin Fields performed well in his first go as his new team's starter. The Jets topped the Green Bay Packers in their 2025 NFL preseason opener to the tune of a 30-10 final. Fields only played one series but made it count. He was 3-for-4 passing for 42 yards. He rushed in a touchdown to cap the drive.

It's so far, so good for Justin Fields in the NFL preseason. Making his unofficial New York Jets debut, Fields led -- and, with a 13-yard scramble, capped -- a touchdown drive on his lone possession of the night.

The Jets are quite thin at the WR position behind Wilson, and counted on Lazard bouncing back from a pair of subpar seasons in New York. He caught the two passes thrown his way against the Packers, his former team, and is a valuable run blocker, which should be even more important this season.
