Emma Raducanu has been knocked out of the Eastbourne Open at the round of 16 stage after falling 6-4, 1-6, 6-7 (4-7) to Maya Joint in a gripping contest.

Emma Raducanu defeated Ann Li in three sets during their first round match at the 2025 Lexus Eastbourne Open: 6-7(5), 6-3, 6-1. After coming out flat in the first round, Raducanu caught fire halfway through the second set and ran away with the match.

Today, she faces Australian teenager Maya Joint, who on Monday defeated two-time Wimbledon finalist Ons Jabeur in what was her biggest grass-court win to date. Conditions are set to be a little kinder on the south coast this afternoon, after all players yesterday were forced to combat blustery conditions that made serving difficult.
