Amazon is expanding its same-day grocery delivery service to 1,000 cities and towns across the U.S., the company said Wednesday.

Amazon has announced that customers in more than 1,000 U.S. cities and towns will soon be able order perishable groceries, including produce, dairy, meat, seafood, baked goods and frozen foods, for same-day delivery.

Subscribers to Amazon.com's Prime service can now get strawberries, milk, meats and frozen dinners on the same day they order them as the company expands its fast-delivery option to perishable food items,
