Microsoft wants you to build for the cloud and has developed a free Node.js course to help learners on their journey.

PayPal reveals that writing server-side software in node.js rather than Java is allowing it to serve web pages more rapidly and simplifying web development.

It is best known for its interactive API and helps download a webpage comfortably. Plus, JavaScript is used to work with arrays, text, regular expressions, dates and the primary manipulation of DOM.

The JavaScript juggernaut shows no signs of slowing down, as IBM said it's acquiring enterprise Node.js specialist StrongLoop to further API-driven development on its Bluemix Platform-as-a-Service.
