Just days after winning Stage 1, green jersey holder Jasper Philipsen was forced to abandon the 2025 Tour de France after a dangerous crash during Stage 3.

Just three days into the race, it’s clear we’re about to be treated to an epic duel between Tadej Pogacar and Jonas Vingegaard for the yellow jersey.

Stage two was a slow burner but it sparked into life in the closing stages. And we could be on for more of the same today as the race rolls out of a very damp Valenciennes. Mathieu Van der Poel is the man in possession of the coveted yellow jersey and Tadej Pogacar is currently in the polka dots as the leader of the mountains classification.
