Newcastle United could see an improved offer for Anthony Elanga knocked back by Nottingham Forest. The City Ground side have made it clear that they don't have any interest in selling one of their best players with a suggestion that even a second bid of over £45m may not be sufficient to land the Sweden winger.

Elanga joined Forest from Manchester United in 2023 for £15 million. A key part of Forest’s attack, he has 11 goals in 83 club appearances and four goals in 21 caps for Sweden. His speed, versatility, and performance under Nuno have made him a target for Newcastle, but for now, Forest are holding firm.

Nottingham Forest fans have been reacting to Tuesday’s news that Newcastle United made a bid to sign Anthony Elanga. That offer of £45m turned down by Nottingham Forest. That offer yesterday was the second one Newcastle United have made for Anthony Elanga, having already seen a bid on deadline day, end of August 2024, also knocked back.
