The bitter public feud between Donald Trump and Elon Musk continues to simmer as the White House ordered the Defense Department and NASA to review billions of dollars' worth of contracts awarded to the Tesla ( TSLA) CEO's SpaceX business, Reuters reported.

The the administration ordered the agencies to scrutinize Musk’s contracts to ready possible retaliation against the businessman and his companies, sources said.

On June 5, as the feud between the two erstwhile besties escalated, Trump posted on his Truth Social Platform, “The easiest way to save money in our Budget, Billions and Billions of Dollars, is to terminate Elon’s Governmental Subsidies and Contracts. I was always surprised that Biden didn’t do it!”
